Literature Class

I took a master's level class with Dr. Quinn at Taylor last week about responding to literature. We had to begin a blog about books we have read. I created it to be read by parents for newer books or books that we may be reading in class. Hocking Hills Day 2

Cantwell Cliffs had steps all the way up to the light and confusing trails! It was gorgeous and treacherous! Dawson had to pose and wanted his picture taken! He never got tired in all of this!
Emmi would pose all day, but not walk all day. She did get tired, but never fell asleep on the trails like last year! Calvin caught a lizard while we were there and was very proud!

This is a family picture from the Rock House. It was a cave carved out in the sandstone. Very neat place to be!

Hocking Hills Day 1

This is so cute! We have 7 boys between the two families and Emmi is the only girl! This is on "Pulpit Rock" in Ash Cave.

We went to Hocking Hills State Park in Logan, Ohio, to go camping with our friends, the Siegelin's. It was a fun trip, but extremely hot. We did a lot of hiking and observing of God's creation in the hills there. There are so many different water falls and landforms there!

Baseball

Calvin and Dawson both played baseball this spring. Calvin did not get a lot of play time in his league. He even chose to go to the airport to pick up our Basque Student over playing in a tournament game! Wise choice. Dawson played t-ball and did fine. He was one of the older ones, since he just missed the cut-off for coaches' pitch. The picture is of Dawson. I hate to say that I am glad the season is coming to a close.

Dog x 2

While my parents were in Japan for two weeks, we watched their dog, Lacy. Fancy and Lacy got along well, but it made it quite hectic. Two dogs and four kids? What were we thinking? :)

Braden's Graduation

Braden graduated from 6th grade (elementary school) this spring! It was a little bittersweet, knowing I will not be able to keep an eye on him this fall in Junior High! He is nervous about Jr. High, but most worried about getting lost or forgetting his locker combination!

On the last day of school we had a Camp Out for Braden and a few of his friends. It was a fun time for them with s'mores and staying up late out in the tent! Hopefully, the neighbors didn't notice how loud they were!

Dawson's First Tooth

Dawson has been waiting for years, it seems like, to lose a tooth! One just started to wiggle the last couple of weeks. To our shock, it came right out when he bit into a Dorito at dinner! The boys insisted we call Daddy on his way back from the Bahamas and tell him the exciting news! So, his first visit from the tooth fairy occurred and Dawson feels like he has grown up just a little bit more.
